Still Life Painting

How does light pass through a jar? How do you capture the heaviness of cast iron? What is the difference between titanium white and flake white? Over the course of a dozen hours, Kevin answers dozens of questions such as these, as he takes his still life painting from setting up the objects and designing the composition, to laying in the first few touches of turpentine rich paint. Paint outdoors in person, in Autumn, and in beautiful Brightwaters, Bayshore- join the October Plein Air Painting Course of the McEvoy Atelier. After an enjoyable season of painting on the southern canals of Bay Shore, we now move slightly north to Brightwaters, Long Island, on the beautiful series of lakes and bridges of this unique little town. This beautiful quiet community just west of downtown Bay Shore features many beautiful features to choose from. This location is near bathrooms, and is also near Bay Shore’s beautiful Main Street.
