Beautiful Book Illustrations : 10 Ways to Add Art Into Your Homeschool

Expose your children to beautiful book illustrations. When you choose a book for read aloud or for their personal reading time choose books that have beautiful illustrations. This will engage and encourage children to add artwork to their stories.

ACTIVITY WITH READ ALOUDS: After every read aloud let your children draw their favorite moment from the book. This is a wonderful activity for each age group because they draw THEIR favorite part at their drawing level.

ACTIVITY FROM BEAUTIFUL BOOKS: Have children re-create a picture in the book in their favorite medium, watercolors, colored pencils, pastels, etc.
