Take A Class! : 10 Ways to Add Art Into Your Homeschool

Join A Co-op: There are so many different ways to add classes to your home education. The easiest is probably to join in one at a co-op. We have taught at our co ops for years and it’s been a wonderful experience to watch children’s ability to blossom. For some children tis might be enough, but as I taught I was able to assess children’s aptitude and interest in drawing and painting, and suggest additional training too talented and interested students.

Talented Parent Teaches A Class: Often there is a talented artist amongst your homeschool community. We have a few. Approach them with The amount of students, time and money you are willing to pay.

Talented Parent Skill Swap: At Times I was able to swap skill sets with talented parent, for example I was artsy and another parent spoke Spanish we traded time/skill set with our children.

Specialized Class Instruction: We have done this a few different ways. The first is to search out a good art teacher/school in your area and find out if it fits your world view. Second does it fits your budget. Most schools and teachers offer discounts for homeschool students because we can take classes at off times and get a group discount.

When you child is ready taking an art class is one of the best things you can do. Their attention is solely focused and a teacher is able to guide them…..what do look for in a studio/atelier?
This is honestly hard to find which is why we created the McEvoy Atelier of Drawing and Painting!
